Already know the basics of improv and you’re ready for a new challenge? Find the song in your heart and we’ll help you sing it! With instructor and veteran improviser Kat Kuo and accompanist Shaun Jones as your guides, you’ll learn how to make up songs onstage while giving them style and substance.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Kat Kuo graduated from her first improv course at ComedySportz of the Triangle in 1998. Since then, she has studied with Baltimore Improv Group, improv Little Rock, PIT, Buffalo Improv House, and Buffalo Comedy Collective, plus instructors specializing in music-based improv from around the country and beyond. She is a current member of ComedySportz Buffalo and the Focus Theater’s Artistic Council. Kat founded the “improvised rockumentary” musical improv group Ham Radio for 2024’s Rochester Fringe Festival and currently supplies vocals and chaotic percussion for Mouth Harpo, Rochester’s only improvised indie rock band.
