Every September, Rochester hosts one of the most-attended fringe festivals in the country, with aerialists, magicians, big bands, street dancers, and shows popping up all over the city. The Spirit of the Rochester Fringe is an independent mini documentary about the people who make it happen and why they keep coming back.
Featuring footage from the 2025 and 2026 festivals, the film includes founding producer Erica Fee, along with venue directors, performers, artists and others who make the Fringe what it is, from its first year in 2012 to today.
Directed and produced by Eric Ruiz, Rue Films. Runtime: 26 minutes.
