In the words of our queen, Hey gay, it’s pride month (for Rochester). We’re not gonna ju-LIE, let’s face it all queers can’t be at circuit parties, or riding motor cycles, or feigning republican identities while giving blowies under stalls at the capital. Some of us queers are just meant for the stage, we’re dramatic, and we’re yearning for your attention. This pride let’s center the theater kids, don’t make it so we peaked in high school, let us peek as twenty, thirty, and forty somethings in an improv theater in an old shopping center. You’ll be glad you did.
Anna, BJ, + Zoey forced a straight man to give up his show slot so we could do a pride show. He willingly did so, and was happy to let us have it, because he’s a really nice guy and an ally, but still a victory nonetheless.
