Yes, And... With Music! - (5/10)

Your favorite music-and-improv mashup workshop is back!

Performers ages 18 and up are invited to bring creativity and a sense of fun to the Focus for a special workshop exploring how instrumental musicians and comedy improvisers can play together.

Veteran improviser Kat Kuo and professional violinist Artur Korotin will lead attendees through a number of exercises and games chosen to open common threads of communication, performance and joy between the two disciplines.

MUSICIANS: Please bring your instrument! One keyboard is available for use during the workshop. Experience in improvising, accompanying, and making unconventional sounds is helpful, but not 100% necessary.

IMPROVISERS: Some previous experience with improv is recommended; this is a path for using your existing skills in a new way.

We look forward to putting these two great tastes — music and comedy improv — together with you!
